PHILOSOPHY
We create weddings that hold the ease of a weekend upstate, the refinement of an artful gathering, and the warmth of sharing a table with the people who feel like home. At the heart of everything we design is a simple truth:
The most memorable weddings are so personalized that guests leave with a lasting impression of their shared time with you.
Our role is to shape an atmosphere where beauty, nature, and experience come together, each detail feels intentional, and every moment feels alive.
Whether your celebration unfolds in a meadow at dusk, a historic barn, a loft overlooking the Hudson, or an old-world estate, we weave the landscape into the fabric of your wedding. Because when nature is invited in, everything becomes a little more magical.
I'm especially drawn to events that break away from the routine. All the better if we can bring in natural elements to softly elevate the space. Let's welcome the outside in, and share that magic with your chosen family.
I like to bring the inside out, as well. Who doesn’t love to dine al fresco? To dance under the stars? To steal a kiss in a field full of fireflies? Celebrations should feel like a weekend away, or like stepping into a painting, or like entering a world curated just for the people you love most.

Core Values
It's a practice- and not a procedure- because we're always working to improve it. Nature is our church. We power our HV home studio (and the rest of our lives) with solar roof tiles. Our Catskills space is completely off-the-grid, meaning we use only solar or battery-operated lighting and tools, collect our water in rain barrels, and compost our floral and personal waste. Because there are no utilities, we've been able to live on top of the earth without drilling or stripping the land of its integrity.
We reduced our use of toxic floral foam- once an industry staple- by 75% in 2021, and all of our 2022 work since 2022 has been completely foam free. Going forward, we aim to create all of our signature installations without any floral foam or single-use plastics. So far, so good. Practice makes progress!
Core Values
It's an integral part of who we are. It's of paramount importance to us that both our team and our client base reflect our community. And our community is one that is rich, deep, loving, and super-diverse.
Idyllwild Event Design is a black-owned, woman-owned business. POC, LGBTQIA+ folx, artists, progressives, activists, educators, and general good trouble are all welcome here.
We admit that we don't know everything, because that's the only way to learn anything. We are always striving to broaden our perspective, to seek diversity, and to remain teachable. We also love to have a damned good time.
Based in New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley with a satellite space in the Catskills, Jasmin brings a directorial eye and a theatrical background to the world of weddings.
Before founding Idyllwild, she trained in theatrical performance and production design, developing a deep appreciation for storytelling, movement, and emotional atmosphere.
She worked in fine dining, floral design, and event production in NYC—absorbing everything from the choreography of service to the architecture of a truly unforgettable moment.
To her, wedding design is a naturally intuitive blend of everything she’s learned:
part art, part hospitality, part theatre, part devotion.
A celebration with hundreds of moving parts that, when guided with care, can touch people as deeply as any performance or painting.
Art + architecture, quiet mornings, dahlias, old houses, divergent thinking, antiques, cats, long conversations, and the scent of a garden breeze.
AT A GLANCE
baked goods > booze, every time. just me?
Biracial, linen-clad, nature-loving, values-forward, gently opinionated, and endlessly curious.
happiest outdoors with family, surrounded by mountains, gardens, or wide open sky.
I SPlurge on candles, good bread, art supplies, quality linens, and perennials. But I Still drink cheap coffee. No shame.
